Jaipuria Noida Placement Update

Aneesh Kumar Srivastava of Jaipuria Noida bags a job with Zomato and makes a stunning start to his professional career

Aneesh Kumar Srivstava, who is curently in his final year of PGDM (Marketing) in Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida has already landed a plum job with Zomato Media Pvt. Ltd. As a Sales and Marketing Manager, Aneesh will be making a cool INR 5.48 lac a year. That is certainly a solid beginning to a promising career for the boy from Lucknow, who had done his BBA and reached Noida with dreams in his eyes.

It was Aneesh’s cousin, a Jaipuria Institute of Management alumnus, who talked to him about the merits of studying at the institute. “I wanted to come out of college as a professional and thought that the institute would help me in that regard. The faculty intellectual capital of the institute, its infrastructure and its placement record were other crucial factors that made me come to Jaipuria Nodia,” he says, explaining his decision further. Bagging a job with a prestigious brand like Zomato is no mean feat and he is more aware of it than anyone, given his simple background. But he also remains quietly confident about his performance on the job as he says, “I possess the qualities that the designation demands of me. I have good communication skills and am high on adaptability, which I think makes me well-prepared for my job.”

If you wonder where this young boy from Lucknow gets such self-belief and confidence from, you don’t have to look beyond his experience at Jaipuria Noida. He believes that it has shaped his personality, apart from preparing him for the professional life ahead of him. “It broadened my horizons in many ways and my thought process has changed completely. Today, I tend to think out of the box and have a more practical approach towards life. On the professional front, I am more organised and am always looking to improve; these are qualities the institute has inculcated in me,” says Aneesh gratefully.

Aneesh has done well academically during his time at the institute. His CGPA has been consistent and he deserves credit for his performance so far. However, he stays modest and says, “Yes, my CGPA has been consistent but what’s more important is that it’s been an all-round learning experience for me. My teachers have been extremely supportive and through guest lectures and seminars our learning has been taken to another level altogether. Today I can relate the concepts learned in the classroom to real world experiences. It should help me immensely in my career.”

Aneesh acknowledges that working life is extremely competitive today and one has to have a cutting edge advantage. For him, that advantage is his PGDM from Jaipuria Noida and he says, “To make your mark professionally you can’t just be competent in your domain; you need to know about other fields too. That’s what my PGDM has helped me achieve and the Summer Internships gave me a taste of the real corporate life. Jaipuria gave me the advantage and the confidence to get through the placement interview too.”

His job as the Sales and Marketing Manager will take him back to his hometown of Lucknow, an opportunity he is looking forward to. It’s a region where Zomato has only recently started its operations and Aneesh believes that offers him an opportunity to grow. “The potential of the market is untapped. While a part of my job is to sustain the existing market, I will also look into the untapped market and customer base, which is a great opportunity for me,” he says, with his eyes firmly set on the future.
