The covid-19 pandemic<\/strong><\/em> and its aftermath have taken a toll on practically every sphere, from economy to education. New management students in particular have been faced with doubts and uncertainties. In these unprecedented times, Jaipuria Institute of Management<\/a> has stood tall, focusing on student interests and learning experiences while making their health and wellbeing a priority.<\/p>\n

The early days of the pandemic led to much anxiety about safety, including on college campuses. Jaipuria Institute of Management,\u00a0India’s one of the top MBA colleges in Noida<\/a>, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Indore was quick to respond to the challenge with precautionary measures that minimized risks of the infection. Vaishali Kiran, student of PGDM Batch 2020 \u2013 22 rightly points out, \u201cThe precautionary measures not only ensured safety but put our parents\u2019 minds at rest. In general, it created empathetic vibes, which we all need in these times.\u201d But there was work to be done as students\u2019 learning couldn\u2019t be compromised upon.<\/p>\n

When many B Schools in India<\/a> dropped the ball, Jaipuria Institute of Management picked up the gauntlet by engaging with its students in various modes for its students. The lockdown only went on to unlock the true potential of online learning for students as experts from various fields were invited to share insights on a wide range of highly relevant topics. Dr. Prabhat Pankaj, Director, Jaipuria, Jaipur<\/a> discussed \u2018The Economics of Happiness\u201d while several faculty members across campuses joined in with live sessions in their respective domains.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director, Jaipuria, Lucknow emphasized the experience as she said, \u201cAt Jaipuria, we look at every adversity as an opportunity to unlock new doors. We have not only migrated online but also cemented our bonds with all stakeholders including students, alumni as well as recruiters.\u201d A strong outreach program by the B School keeps students updated with information about learning as well as co-curricular and fun sessions that keep their spirits up in these testing times.<\/p>\n

It has stayed the reassuring voice during the lockdown that students needed to hear. According to fresher Deepak Kumar, \u201cNegativity was spreading around us because we didn\u2019t know how the next few months would be. But the way Jaipuria helped us in this phase by offering various programs online shows their dedication to students. I definitely made the right choice by enrolling here.\u201d But it\u2019s not just the esteemed faculty members of the institute that students get to learn from. They have also had the opportunity to gain from experts from industry, academia, and alumni.<\/p>\n

Dr. Devi Singh, distinguished professor<\/a> at Jaipuria, Former Director, IIM Lucknow joined entrepreneur Mr. Rajat Kotra, Founder Advisor KOUO for a webinar on \u2018Covid 19: Economic Implications for The World\u2019. Mr. Rahul Nandi, Talent Acquisition Leader, South Asia, GE Healthcare shared the recruiters\u2019 hiring perspective in a live session that made students aware of attributes expected of future managers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese sessions with eminent personalities are giving us an inside view of the industry while being safe at home,\u201d says a student from an upcoming batch of PGDM course<\/a> 20-22, Avishek Chatterjee.<\/p>\n
