Jaipuria Noida STUDENT Speaks

Mugdha Ahluwalia from Jaipuria Noida batch of 2012-2014, looks back at her first month in the institute.

When one decides to enrol for a PGDM programme, one doesn’t really think about how tough life can get! From day one, life at Jaipuria Noida has been both challenging and amazing. Lot of things are happening all around me and I am having the time of my life. It’s been one month at Jaipuria Noida and the time has really flown. If you ask me, the moments that stand out for me on campus are when it is a beautiful rain- soaked evening, I have a cup of coffee in one hand and case studies in the other. Studying may not seem like the most fun activity to a casual observer, but even academics become fun in Jaipuria Noida.

It has been a roller coaster ride, one that has come with a huge learning curve. Every day, I get to learn from my professors and peers. Lectures are very creative here. Working in teams on projects and on various assignments helped me understand team dynamics better, especially when stringent deadlines had to be met. The first thing I learned here is ‘Time Management’, the single most important skill required when doing a PGDM.

Jaipuria Noida is a special blend of a modern life and traditional values. It is an enriching experience here, where emphasis is laid on our overall grooming. Despite the demanding academic schedule, I spend time playing sports and improving my communication skills, something that ensures that each day is delightfully full of activity. We have many clubs to keep us going: Music, Literary, Dance, Media Relations, Debate, E-cell and Dramatics are the ones that top the charts.

On the other hand, we have academic clubs too – like HR, Finance, Marketing, Operations, etc.

All these are a part of life for me already and I could go on about them, as there are so many events taking place on campus. However, I’ll stop typing and head off to push myself further towards perfection.
