Making it to Colgate Palmolive amongst 100 others applicants- Anushika shares her journey at Jaipuria

When the HR and the Area Sales Manager of Colgate Palmolive asked Anushika Agarwal in her final interview- “which is that one thing that brings stress to you, and how do you overcome that?’ it took her few seconds to come up with the answer. And now that she looks back- she does not wish to change a thing about that day of her selection. Everything for Anushika was going as planned! It was a stress interview and she was prepared. She was bombarded with questions from the panelists and she knew she had to keep her poise and calm. She was just few questions away from being selected by one of the popular FMCG brands of USA and 100+ students were eyeing for the role on offer. Anushika knew she had just one route-map to survive the competition- to be herself.
Anushika’s role as a CDO would be to manage the key accounts and making new once, also handling and managing the distribution channel of the location that would be given to her and she is excited! “Ever since 2017 when I joined the PGDM program at Jaipuria, I was trying to learn Management- nothing else, but that.” I received a Summer Internship with Fab Hotels and spent two months there to realize I wanted to specialize in Finance and Marketing.
“Fab Hotels SIP worked as an eye-opener for me. I was at the reception of Birla Cements’ Lucknow office with my colleague. It was 2pm and we were waiting to meet a higher official to talk of Fab Hotels and its initiatives when the Marketing Head walked in. After a course of an absolutely interesting conversation he said- organizations working in the domain of roti, kapda and makan would always look promising – no matter the time and the consequences,” narrates Anushika while elaborating on one of her biggest takeaways from the summer project’s stint. But what inspires this young and dynamic girl the most is- women’s success stories. “There is nothing more fulfilling than to see us breaking the stereotypes and standing out against all odds,” she says with a bold smile on her face.
As Anushika looks back, she recalls how far she has come within these two academic years. Unlike other students, she was not a member of any club at the B-school but she ensured active participation in events and competitions to stay ahead of the curve. And that’s how she met Sangeeta Chacko, Head- Corporate Communications at Percept Limited. “It was a really impressive presentation, and the most striking feature about it was the attitude and zeal with which she presented. It has so far been one of the presentations that I would never forget and I want to imbibe her kind of energy and spark within me ahead,” remarks Anushika is now getting all set to live the final days of her B-school life before leaving for Colgate Palmolive in few months.

Jaipuria’ Powerful ‘Be Infinite’ campaign is an ode to individuality and uniqueness

Jaipuria Institute of Management has teamed up with Seth M. R. Jaipuria Schools to launch a video series that celebrates the individuality of every student. Titled ‘Be Infinite’, the campaign inspires to break the shackles of society, peer pressure, and revel in the uniqueness of one’s true self. The video stresses that each one of us is special in our own way, and that presents us infinite opportunities to become who we want to be.
The world sets limitations and barriers around young minds. They are often judged for their uniqueness, just what actually makes them different. Parents, families and teachers want them to conform to their expectations. But at Jaipuria, it’s all about getting through those boundaries, breaking free of the pressures. Its model of learning encourages students to listen to their own voice, dig deep, and do exactly what they want to.
That’s where the spirit to ‘Be Infinite’ comes from. It’s something all Jaipuria students develop during the course of their programs. Hence it’s interesting to see some of those students as a part of this moving campaign. “It is all about breaking the stereotypes prevailing amongst us, whether they are related to education, profession, genders, sexual orientation, responsibilities,” says Mr. Shreevats Jaipuria, Vice Chairman, Jaipuria Institute of Management and Seth M. We live in times where social media celebrities are born every single day. With the strong influence of Internet on impressionable minds, it’s easy to start aping others and forgetting your own inner voice in the process. The ‘Be Infinite’ campaign designd by Jaipuria Institute of Management in many ways is a call to that inner voice – to motivate students and the youth of the country to recognize and embrace their uniqueness. Only then can they explore endless possibilities and be truly infinite.
