What after CAT 2019?

CAT is over, the brain is drained, the body is weak and ready to be SNAPped. But tell you what it has been an amazing experience, all those days and hours of work just went barging out and hopefully with a li’l bit of fate’s slight rumblings to assist we should all get where we ought to be. I reckon the draining element is purely due to the amount of anxiety that took over in the last stages and the way it was handled by the brain.
But you know what, I love the sleep and the food. Especially the fast kinds. I was off it, and I really felt good to be light in the belly all the time and the brain felt sharper but as we all need to keep ourselves abreast with what is around us, the few rounds of fast food that I had afterwards has made my body, my mind and my whole system happy and sprightly. It is amazing how much of those ads and the regular visuals of the roadside joints and the food updates on Instagram and Facebook stays within us. Never letting go of the senses and constantly reminding of how that food tastes and feels. I guess the mind has to be trained in a similar way to look at management graduates of yore in the same way, keep looking, keep reading, and keep assimilating what has been achieved before.
A few days of break then back to the groove. SNAP is coming up. And of course awaiting the results. So now to practice the art of articulation of what I know, what I am curious about, what I intend and what I aspire in the best way possible. B-Schools, here I come.
I think I will rejoice these moments with my family, friends and all of you out there. It is the day after. The jubilation of having done something well, after humongous amount of practice and help and suggestions, is just way too good. I will leave the remaining words, feelings, mental blow-out and all of that for you all to enjoy on your own instead of me bellowing out more sentences.
Wish you all God-speed and bright and cheerful days ahead…

For the 2nd consecutive year Jaipuria Institute of Management recognized with coveted Great Place to Work Certification

Jaipuria Institute of Management has bagged the prestigious Great Place to Work certification for the second year in a row. Great Place to Work Institute is a renowned global management research and consulting firm that strives to help companies reach their business goals while creating best work places. Hence the certification has assumed great significance amongst global Social Services Organizations, Small and Mid-Sized Organizations, and Start-Ups.
Jaipuria Institute of Management wins the certification as one of the Mid-Size Organizations that have fostered a great work place environment for its employees. It’s interesting to note that when the B School won the certification last year its employee size was 264 while it has gone up to 311 this year. As it retains its place in Education and Training category, it reflects on its consistent efforts to maintain best working standards for its growing employee size.
Great Place to Work Certification takes into account people practices in organizations. Employees are surveyed across 56 parameters and the organization gets certified only if more than 70% of the respondents rate it as a great work place. Credibility of management, respect for people, fairness at the work place, pride and camaraderie constitute the Trust Index. Organizations also need to score at least 2.5 on the 5 point scale for people practices.
This year’s Great Place to Work Certification happens to be the biggest so far with more than 10000 organizations associating with the research and consulting firm for assessment. They came from about 60 countries and across industries. Jaipuria Institute of Management, which has four campuses in Lucknow, Noida, Jaipur and Indore once again won the honors as the organization that is growing along with its employees.
Mr. Amit Attry, Vice President, Marketing & Corporate Relations of the B School says, “It’s about getting the simple things right. You don’t need a fancy work place to make employees feel at home and be a part of the family. You need a spirit of team work and positivity at the workplace to have your team at their best”. Jaipuria endeavored to do that through initiatives ranging from Faculty Development Programs to yoga, recreation sessions, fitness training and POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Training and other comprehensive measure in workplace culture and talent management practices. Its Great Place to Work Certification is a testament to those efforts.
