Isha Jain is a Marketing enthusiast. She has spent several days and hours on marketing projects with organisations like Network Tours & Travels and Dainik Jagran, Amritsar, where her focus areas were cross-cultural communication and time management. Currently, she is pursuing her PGDM from Jaipuria Indore and is specialising in Finance and Marketing. Isha belongs to the city of Indore and completed her Engineering in Information Technology from Medicaps Institute of Management, Indore before joining Jaipuria.
Her first year at Jaipuria Indore has been quite eventful. Apart from academics, she has been involved with and participated in several extra-curricular activities. As she says, “I have been participating in various events held at Jaipuria, such as the Business Olympiad, Budget Seminar, Encore, Milan and many more!” Isha believes that these events have helped her polish her organisational skills, connect with people and also provided a platform for career opportunities. She also claims to have benefitted from the preparation plan laid out by Jaipuria for all students. “With regular mock interviews, group discussion sessions, aptitude tests, extempore debates and quizzes, I am well prepared for the interview and to face the crowd with confidence.” She has also had the opportunity to interact with key players in industry and learn about the corporate world through the Young Enterprise Mentorship Programme – Chisel. Another learning that she proudly talks about is E-learning, and she feels that it has helped her grow as a student.
Top MBA colleges in the country today understand that managers can no longer lead or survive on functional knowledge – overall development is an imperative. Jaipuria Institute of Management has been leveraging a mix of learning strategies and development activities to create a learning environment that empowers. Isha has clearly benefitted from it. “My first year at Jaipuria has been awesome. It has given a shape to my goals and aspirations, and made me clearer about my future!”
One of the strongest learning enablers is the peer group, and the residential programme at Jaipuria encourages peer learning through joint activities and events. “Since it is residential campus, we get a lot of time to spend with friends, studying and enjoying all the passions of life and this also helped me learn from peers. We have so much to do on campus, which has resulted in some memorable events that I will remember throughout my life”, says an enthusiastic Isha. She has also received extensive support from her faculty throughout the year and during her internship. “Prof. Rinku Joshi and Prof. Jagdish Bhagwat helped me at every stage where I had a problem and helped me learn.” Dreaming of a successful career, Isha is working towards making it happen and in Jaipuria, she has found all the opportunities to do so!
