Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, recently held its 12th annual convocation ceremony on April 20, 2019 to award certificates of academic excellence to over 174 students and felicitate rank holders of the 2017-19 PGDM batch.
The gathering was addressed by Shri Sharad Jaipuria, Chairman of Jaipuria Institute of Management, who emphasized the future strategic planning for the growth and development of Jaipuria. In his speech, he outlined the responsibilities of the students towards transforming the nation and society as a whole.
Various awards were given out to the students as an acknowledgment of their meritorious performance. Chief Guest for the ceremony, Shri Rajeev Dubey, Group President (HR & Corporate Services) & CEO (After Market Sector) Member of Group Executive Board, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. presented the degrees to the graduating batch. He spoke about the 3+ 5 frameworks to succeed in the new normal world of VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity), and emphasized that in order to be sustainable, one needs to nurture and nourish the core values of the organization. He congratulated all the graduating students and wished them luck for their future endeavors.
Dr. Prabhat Pankaj, Director of Jaipuria Institute of Management too encouraged the graduating students by discussing Jaipuria’s model of learning. “Jaipuria’s model goes beyond learning and it stands on four pillars – the industry connect, learning environment, learning beyond the classroom, and the global exposure. Now that you’re all prepared to step into the professional world, remember to first broaden your perspective and then lead with purpose to make a meaningful impact. I wish you success in all your endeavors as you move forward in your career,” he said.
He then presented the annual report of the Institute for the year 2018-19. He announced that the institute has received recognition as one of the top 75 B-Schools consecutively for 2017-18 and 2018-19 by NIRF, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. He also congratulated all the stakeholders for Jaipuria Institute been awarded the most preferred B-School in North India by Assocham.
Among the students receiving their degrees, Jaipuria also bestowed the medals for academic excellence to various students. Ms. Shivangi Baghel was awarded Chairman’s Gold Medal, Ms. Aditi Kataria was awarded Vice-Chairman’s Silver Medal, and the Director’s Bronze Medal was awarded to Ms. Mishita Singhal. Besides, Dr. Prashant Sharma was awarded with the “Best Faculty Award” for his contribution towards student development.
Mr. Shreevats Jaipuria, Vice-Chairman of Jaipuria Institute of Management expressed his vote of thanks and gratitude towards the esteemed guests, faculty, alumni, and the students. The ceremony culminated with a grand celebration and a moment of nostalgia, pride, and remembrance encircled the joyous atmosphere.
