Prof. Shyam Ji Mehrotra is an experienced commercial banker with over four decades of banking experience in Credit, Risk Management, Recovery Management, and Operations Management. He lastly held the position of General Manager at Allahabad Bank. Prof. Mehrotra was head of large zone/regions like Mumbai, Kolkata, Ranchi, and Uttar Pradesh and also head of Allahabad Bank’s Staff College.

Prof. Mehrotra is currently Professor & Chairperson Executive Education with Jaipuria Institute of Management, India's amongst top management institutes in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. His teaching interests include Project Finance, Risk Management, Banking systems, Recovery Management, Vigilance Management, microfinance, and Regulatory compliance in banking.
