Puja Bajoria holds a distinction in painting – it’s her hobby and a passion. But this girl from Durgapur, West Bengal is Commerce graduate from J D Birla Institute, Kolkata. After graduating, she decided to pursue the PGDM programme at Jaipuria Jaipur on a friend’s recommendation. Her friend was already a student there and was all praises for the faculty and infrastructure.
Puja believes Jaipuria provides a platform for experiential learning to its students through various activities. As she says, “I enjoyed being a part of Pragati (Parivartan, a CSR initiative) in which we provide free of cost education to the underprivileged children of village Dantli. I also enjoyed being a Coordinator for the International Conference for Creating Sustainable Business, which was a great learning experience for me.” She has enjoyed these activities immensely and has even emerged a winner in some of them. “My most memorable day in JIMJ was when I won the 1st prize in The Import, Export And Forex Mechanism quiz and when I topped the class in the 1st semester with a CGPA of 3.67 out of 4.”
“I want to be a manager with a multinational when I pass out”, says Puja with conviction. She believes Jaipuria is the right place to equip herself with the skills and aptitude required by industry. She praises the faculty at Jaipuria for the confidence she has acquired at the institute. “They are amazing knowledge gurus who are available to us all the time, even after college hours, on the phone and internet! They make learning possible for me”. More than everyone else, Puja is impressed with the Director of Jaipuria Jaipur, Dr. Rajiv Thakur, who she thinks is the best role model and an excellent manager himself.
Pursuing her hobbies and her academic pursuits, Puja dreams of a future in the corporate world and is working hard to achieve her goals.
